At The Mourning Stitch, I believe every garment carries a past, a present, and a future. Clothing bears the imprint of the lives it has touched.
The softened cuff, the faded hem, the careful repair, and the quiet passage of time. What others may see as something to discard or replace, I see as the beginning of another story.
Through thoughtful deconstruction, quilting, and handcraft, forgotten garments are transformed into one-of-a-kind heirlooms. Some arrive with stories already known.
